Kendra Wilkinson Quits ‘Splash’ After Meltdown [Video]

Why did Kendra Wilkinson sign up for a diving reality show? The former Playboy Playmate quit the show Splash last night after she had a little meltdown on the diving board.

Wilkinson had a bit of a freak out when she was standing on the edge of the platform. The former Playboy model froze at the edge of the platform last night and said that she wouldn’t be able to continue with the show.

Wilkinson said: “I’m so sorry, everybody … It’s bittersweet. One thing I don’t do is quit. This is the first time in my life I’ve quit something. This will haunt me for the rest of my life.”

Now, it isn’t really fair to make fun of Wilkinson for being afraid of heights. She doesn’t want to jump off a 23-foot-platform. OK, so what? But why sign up for the show at all?

Did the idea of wearing a skimpy swimsuit in front of millions (lets be honest, thousands) of viewers cloud her judgement? Did Kendra stop listening to whoever pitched the show after they told her that she’d be on TV?

The former Playboy star took to Twitter last night and admitted that it was a mistake to sign up.

Kendra wrote: “Damn I got a lot of hate tonight but ill take it. Big mistake signing up for the show. Sorry I let you all down.”

Did you watch Kendra Wilkinson’s meltdown on Splash? It’s a pretty familiar scene. You know, it’s the one from every kid movie you’ve ever seen that involved a swimming pool. Kid walks to the edge, gets nervous, line builds behind him, people scream for him to jump, kid looks down at water, then at line, then at water, and then the kid makes a decision. Face the ridicule of their peers or jump.

Wilkinson has had a hard time since joining the show. Last week, the former Playboy model was able to complete her dive but she didn’t look too happy about it.

Are you surprised that Kendra quit?
