Isla Fisher Discusses Her Marriage With Sacha Baron Cohen, Reveals It’s Not Normal

Isla Fisher has been discussing her married life with the comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, and she has revealed that it is far from normal.

Fisher was talking in the latest issue of C Magazine, and she was at odds to point out that every day with the Borat star is bizarre.

“It’s definitely not a normal relationship,” she said. “You know there have been times in the past with the guerrilla style film making of Borat and Bruno where there were surreal conversations.”

These included “How many people are suing us? Are you wanted in an any states? Are you alive?” Cohen has previously had to deal with lawsuits from the government of Kazakhstan, but he has since appeared in more serious films whilst Isla has been concentrating on being the parent to their daughters, Oliver, 5, and Elula, 2.

Isla also discussed converting to Judaism after marrying Sacha, stating, “I love the focus on family, food, and laughter. You know I didn’t go to university because I’ve been acting since I was a kid. So for me, studying theology was also fascinating. I love Judaism.”

Isla also stated that she would love to work with Cohen in the future, but there are no immediate plans to do so.

“I would love to,” she declared when asked the question. “But I think we are collaborating enough. We’re doing our most most difficult, most wonderful screenplays; a five year old and a two year old at home. I feel that’s the most important collaboration.”

Fisher will next be seen in The Great Gatsby, and the 37-year-old star revealed that she now only picks her roles after considering where the film will be shot.

“It’s all about location because of the kids,” she declared. “Then it boils down to the filmmaker and the role and the cast.”

Do you think Fisher and Cohen make a nice couple?
