Brady Corbet Joins Benicio Del Toro In Pablo Escobar Drama

Looks like things are picking up for the new Pablo Escobar film. Mysterious Skin actor, Brady Corbet has now joined theParadise Lost, which is the new Pablo Escobar film starring Benicio Del Toro and Josh Hutcherson. The film is said to be a drama about the notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.

So far it’s not known who Corbet will play, but it’s said Hutcherson’s character will visit Colombia, and fall in love with a woman, but things will go wrong for him and his lover when he meets her uncle Pablo.

The film, which beings production in March is a good move for Corbet. The actor who has been in a few shorts, is slowly but surely climbing the ladder in Hollywood. Before his role in Melancholia, Corbet was in Martha Marcy May Marlene, Simon Killer, and a promising arc a few years back on 24.

If the actor wants to expand on his resume and get on people’s radars the Pablo Escobar film seems to be the right move. In addition the actor has The Sleepwalker and Regular Boy coming up.

This isn’t the first film that has tried to bring Pablo Escobar up on the big screen, but it looks like it might be the most successful if all the blocks fall into place. Killing Pablo, a film by Joe Carnahan never made it to the big screen, and the character of Escobar was featured in the Johnny Depp hit Blow.

Aside from the fact that Adrien Grenier’s Vinny Chase in Entourage was a pretty cool fantasy casting, Del Toro seems like the perfect Pablo Escobar. In addition, Josh Hutcherson is proving to be quickly on the rise in his career. Since his role in The Hunger Games, Hutcherson has appeared in Red Dawn, The Forger, and 7 Days in Havana.
