Gucci Mane Allegedly Hits Soldier With Champagne Bottle, Arrest Warrant Issued

Gucci Mane is wanted by police after he allegedly hit a soldier on the head with a champagne bottle in an Atlanta nightclub earlier this month.

The incident reportedly occurred on March 15, and MTV says that Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, struck the soldier with the implement after an altercation.

It is claimed that the man involved asked a security guard in the VIP section of the Harlem Nights club if he could take a photograph with the hip-hop artist, which lead to the incident unfolding.

The soldier stated, “I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle. And as I looked at him in the shock of why, one of his friends hit me in the side of my face.”

The unnamed man, who is only referred to as James, then added, “That is dangerous because if there was to be any other fan trying to approach him, ain’t no telling what else he might do to them.”

Describing the gravity of the situation, he remarked, “He could have possibly killed me. I just hope and pray that I recover pretty well because I still want to serve my military career.”

Lieutenant Jeff Cantin of the Atlanta Police Department, confirmed, “We do have an active warrant for Mr. Davis for aggravated assault. So I’m sure after he sees this, I’m sure he’ll want to reach out and contact us.”

Mane was in the club promoting his new mix-tapes entitled Trap Back 2 and East Atlanata Memphis, the latter of which he created in conjunction with Young Dolph.

In the past Mane has been arrested for battery, probation violation, and reckless driving and in 2011 he served a six-month jail sentence. He can currently be seen in the movie Spring Breakers.
