Malcolm Jamal Warner Splits With Actress Regina King

Malcolm Jamal Warner has reportedly split from actress Regina King.

The Cosby Show alum and the Southland star have ended their relationship after two years of dating. The actor reportedly asked King and her son to move out of the house they shared together. No official details have been released by the couple.

Malcolm Jamal Warner and Regina King have been friends since the 80s. Although the pair were together for around two years, they attempted to keep the details of their relationship private.

“He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore,” a source explained to the folks at Us Weekly. The insider went on to say that King was very “brokenhearted” over the situation.

Rumors were swirling back in 2011 that the Warner and King were close to tying to the knot. However, the couple squashed those reports shortly after they got off the ground.

Although they’ve known each other since the 80s, Malcolm Jamal Warner and Regina King didn’t become a couple until after she divorced Ian Alexander Sr. in 2007.

“I believe the universe has a plan, and we probably wouldn’t have been ready years ago. We both had to do whatever we had to do to be ready for each other now,” the actress told Parade last year.

Although Warner and King are used to being in the public eye, the actor revealed that the pair worked hard to keep details about their relationship out of the tabloids.

“We like to protect what we have because it’s very special and very precious. But I will say that it’s a relationship that makes all the sense in the world,” Warner explained to BET.

While an insider has been quick to discuss what went wrong in their relationship, the actor and the actress have yet to comment on the status of the split.
