‘Mad Men’ Crew Distracted By Jon Hamm’s ‘Impressive Anatomy’

Mad Men’s cast and crew had to have a few awkward conversations with the show’s lead actor, Jon Hamm, after he suffered a number of wardrobe malfunctions on set.

Hamm, who plays Don Draper in the drama, reportedly caused a stir on set after members of the production staff caught a glimpse of his intimate anatomy.

The New York Daily News reported that Hamm was “politely instructed by a staffer at the [AMC] network to please wear underwear while shooting his scenes.”

The source went on to add, “This season takes place in the 1960s, where the pants are very tight and leave little to the imagination. Jon’s impressive anatomy is so distracting that they politely insisted on underwear.”

The actor then went on to invoke a further reaction as he filmed in Hawaii where he wore tiny shorts in several scenes.

The newspaper even claimed that during the first and second season of the show, AMC had to use photoshop to erase Hamm’s body part from view.

“Imagine how distracting that would be on the side of a bus or building,” uttered the insider. “When the promotional pictures came back the first few seasons, we had to work with them.”

However a representative for Jon Hamm has dismissed this speculation, telling the newspaper, “It is ridiculous and not really funny at all.”

Mad Men is set to return on AMC on Sunday April 7 with a two hour special episode.

Mad Men’s show-runner recently described its return, stating, “It will advance in time, as it does I can’t say how much or how little. We’re coming off a period in Don’s life where he’s trying to normalize, and trying to have this relationship – a real relationship, with this woman that he fell in love with.”
