Cybill Shepherd’s son Cyrus arrested for in-flight thefts


22-year-old Cyrus Shepherd-Oppenheim, son of Cybill Shepherd, was arrested at a Philadelphia airport around midnight for allegedly stealing from the carry-on bags of several other passengers mid-flight.

Shepherd-Oppenheim is accused of stealing a digital camera, a leather make-up case, a small travel bag and cash from two passengers on the United Airlines flight. Two passengers from the cross-country flight originating from San Francisco identified Shepherd’s son as the individual who stole the items during the flight. He was taken to an airport holding cell where missing items from the two alleged victims are said to have been recovered. Shepherd-Oppenheim was charged with receiving stolen property and theft.

Cyrus Shepherd-Oppenheim is the son of Cybill Shepherd and chiropractor Bruce Oppenheim. The pair divorced in 1989. Cyrus, who goes by the name Zack, has a twin sister, Ariel Shepherd-Oppenheim.
