HTC Leaks ‘Myst’ Facebook Phone Details

The Myst Facebook phone by HTC has had its details leaked.

The HTC Myst is apparently the company’s next attempt at bringing us the Facebook phone.

With Facebook’s ever-expanding web of updates, it only makes sense that it’s attempting to take its social network to the next level. The graph search, still in Beta mode, has given us Facebook‘s equivalent of a pseudo browser, and the mobile messenger could replace regular text messaging entirely, integrating mobile messaging and photo sharing, as well as the recent addition of voice messages. In Canada, the Facebook messenger has even been released as its own free phone service.

Is it any wonder Facebook has its own phone being perfected?

The Myst is the third Facebook phone from HTC and it is expected to include deeper integration than the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa Facebook phones.

The new HTC Myst will reportedly come preloaded with Facebook’s mobile site, Messenger, and Instagram. The new Facebook phone will contain the power of a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and 1GB RAM. With that kind of power under the hood, this will be a device to be reckoned with, to say the least.

The smartphone will feature a 4.3-inch display capable of 720p graphics. Just think “HDTV in your hand” and you’ll get the picture, so to speak. 16GB internal memory and a 5 megapixel back-facing camera accompany a 1.5 megapixel forward-facing camera and 4G LTE support. Say goodbye to YouTube loading times, unless Facebook plans on supporting HD mobile video streaming.

Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi will also help you connect with various devices around the house, possibly giving you a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot that newer 4G LTE devices are bragging about. Or if your signal is weak at McDonalds or Starbucks, just turn on the Wi-Fi and you’re good to go.

The HTC MystFacebook phone is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2013.
