Hillary Scott Expecting A Girl With Fellow Lady Antebellum Bandmate, Husband

Hillary Scott is expecting a little lady of her own.

The Lady Antebellum singer and husband Chris Tyrrell have announced that they’re expecting a baby girl later this year. The couple had first told fans back in December that they were having a baby, their first.

“Chris and I are excited to announce that our Christmas gift has arrived a little early this year! We are having a baby!” Hilary Scott tweeted at the time. “We feel so blessed!!!”

The two didn’t have to go far to find love. Tyrrell is the drummer for Lady Antebellum, though their relationship pre-dates the band. Scott and Tyrrell first met while they were in college, but then lost touch. They reconnected in 2010 during Tim McGraw’s Southern Voice tour and started dating later that year.

They were married in January 2012, less than a year before Hillary Scott announced that she’s expecting.

The pregnancy appears to be going well for the Lady Antebellum couple, or so their Twitter updates would make it seem. Scott has kept fans updated of her progress through frequent posts, including one that praised her husband for his attentiveness.

“Who has two thumbs and just asked her husband, and very nicely I might add, to run into the grocery store for pop tarts? ME! Pregnancy,” she wrote Jan. 15.

Hillary Scott later tweeted, “I’ve never dreamed weirder dreams than I have pregnant . . . if I could only recall all the details. It would make a killer movie!”

After being married, Scott made it clear that she’d found her soulmate, saying “Everything is brighter. Everything has a deeper meaning. He makes me feel more comfortable in my own skin.”

Even before Hillary Scott announced she’s expecting, she has been keen to children. Along with the other members of Lady Antebellum started a charity called LadyAID, which focuses on children’s hospitals, though it will also contribute to other charitable causes.
