Walking Dead Season 2 Video Game Aiming For Fall 2014 Launch

The Walking Dead Season 2 game won’t be released until at least fall of 2014. Telltale games co-founder and CEO Dan Connors says that the company is “aiming” for the fall of 2014 which means that the second installment of the popular computer, mobile and console video game may not be out until even later than that.

Dan Connors did an interview in which he talked about what he expected with the release of the new season. Connors also talked about which consoles would be getting the game with the Playstation 4. Connors was fairly non-committal saying:

“Gee I don’t know. I would think so, though, but it’s all going to depend on timing I guess. But we don’t have enough information from them [Sony] to announce it or anything.”

The Walking Dead Season 2 video game might not be coming out for more than a year, but that doesn’t mean that Telltale games is going to be resting out its laurels. The developers of the game series seems to understand that there are plenty of gamers who want more content and they want it before the fall of 2014.

Connors and Walking Dead writer Gary Whitta let slip that there might be a sort of bridge between season one and season two. While neither man was willing to elaborate, Connors said that they were planning something different and that they would have something to announce somewhat soon.

While the video game isn’t a side-by-side recreation of the incredibly popular Walking Dead television series, it has enough that is similar that draws users in. In many ways the video game is as different from the television series as the television series is from the game.

There are very few similarities between the game or the comic book either, but all three bring the same kind of atmosphere that fans of the series enjoy. When Walking Dead Season 2 finally gets released, will you get yourself a copy?
