Demi Lovato Reveals Sister She Didn’t Know Existed Until Last Year

Demi Lovato has revealed a secret sister that, until just last year, the singer and X Factor host didn’t even know existed.

Lovato talked about the secret sister in a radio interview Monday on WBLI’s Dana & Jeffrey in the Morning show. In the interview, Demi said it wasn’t until last year that she found out she had a sibling.

The 20-year-old Demi Lovato already has an older sister, 25-year-old Dallas Lovato, and an 11-year-old half-sister, Madison De La Garza.

Now Lovato can add a secret older sister to the family.

“I just got to know I have an older sister I have never known in my whole life,” Lovato told the radio show. “She’s in her thirties. She’s my half sister but I talked to her for the very first time in my life around when I turned 20.”

Lovato revealed that the secret sister is in her 30s and stayed away because she didn’t want the famous singer to think she was out to get something from Lovato.

“I asked her, ‘Why haven’t you ever contacted me?’ ” Lovato said. “She just said, ‘Well, because I never wanted you to think I wanted anything from you. So I’ve just kind of been waiting to see if you wanted a relationship.’ I thought that was so incredible. So I actually have three sisters!”

Oddly enough, while she was able to open up about her new-found family member, Lovato was a bit more coy when it came to her own personal life. The hosts tried to get her to open up about a date on Valentine’s Day with her former lover Wilmer Valderrama, but Lovato didn’t want to talk about it.

“Some things you just have to keep to yourself,” Lovato said. “No, I would not like to comment.”

Though Lovato revealed her secret sister, the singer also didn’t give out any other details about the woman or her life. E! News tried to contact Lovato’s rep for further comment about the new sibling, but so far Lovato has said nothing more.
