‘Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’ Trailer Unveiled [Video]

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will reportedly arrive before the end of the year. In an effort to get folks excited, a new trailer has been unveiled.

The next installment of Ubisoft’s open world adventure should arrive this October. The game will be available for current and next generation consoles.

According to ComingSoon, the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag release date was originally pulled from a hidden page on the official Ubisoft website. The placeholder for the upcoming trailer claimed the game would be released on October 29, 2013. This almost a year to the day that Assassin’s Creed III hit retail shelves.

Ubisoft has since removed the revealing image from its website. However, the company has since confirmed the rumored release date by dropping the first official trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag online.

T3 explains the next installment of the franchise will follow the grandfather of the protagonist in Assassin’s Creed III. The game will chronicle the adventures of a pirate during his exploits on the high seas.

You can find the first trailer for the game embedded below. Although there’s no gameplay footage to drool over, the clip does a good job of setting the stage for the adventure to come.

Should the trailer not satisfy your craving for more information about the game, be sure to stop by the official website on March 4. Although it’s unclear what sort of details will be offered up, Ubisoft is hoping you’ll stop by on Monday to figure things out.

The first trailer for the upcoming sequel has been embedded below. Gamespot reports that Ubisoft has already yanked the clip, so enjoy it while you can.

If you decide to pre-order Black Flag ahead of its scheduled release date, then you will receive an exclusive poster designed by comic book legend Todd MacFarlane.
