Luann de Lesseps Dodges Jail Time But Reportedly Could Be Fired From ‘RHONY’ For Violating Parole

Luann de Lesseps narrowly dodged jail time after violating her probation, but the star of The Real Housewives of New York isn’t out of danger, yet. According to Radar Online, de Lesseps may be losing her place on the show because she has “become a huge liability.”

The countess was reportedly ordered back to jail on May 23 for violating her probation by drinking alcohol, but a judge accepted a plea deal a few hours later that allowed de Lesseps to have “weekly telephone counseling sessions with her treating psychiatrist” and a monthly in-person session.

She was also purportedly ordered to take Antabuse, a drug that helps treat chronic alcoholism by making people sensitive to alcohol.

In addition to that, she will have to maintain a breathalyzer monitoring device and will have to pay for her own transportation costs if she is forced to return to Florida for violating her parole in the future.

Once she accepted the new terms of her probation, the judge allowed the reality star to be released from the custody of the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.

As The Inquisitr reported, de Lesseps called the report that she would be serving jail time “false” and said that she looked forward to completing her parole.

“These reports are false,” she said. “I’m glad the judge was understanding once made aware of the evidence provided and I was then released. I am now looking forward to completing my remaining few months of probation. I want to put this behind me and move forward with my life.”

Even though she dodged another stint in jail, the producers of the show are reportedly debating whether or not to keep her around as a housewife.

“Producers are really considering letting her go because she has become a huge liability,” a source revealed. “She thinks that she is invincible, and producers are really starting to think that being on the show is just making her problems worse.”

Producers aren’t the only ones who are concerned about keeping de Lesseps around. Her co-stars are concerned as well, according to a source close to the countess.

“Many of her co-stars feel she needs to be held accountable for her actions,” they said.

Co-star Dorinda Medley said that she is “heartbroken” for her co-star, according to earlier reporting by The Inquisitr.

De Lesseps was originally arrested in 2017 for assaulting and threatening to kill a police officer after drinking too much in Palm Beach on Christmas Eve.
