Fantasia Demands Public Apology From ‘JET’ Over Cover Photo [Photos]

American Idol season 3 winner Fantasia wants a public apology from JET magazine over the cover of its latest issue.

For its March issue, JET used an older photo of Fantasia on the cover, even though she had previously sent the magazine newer pictures that she wanted to be used. However, instead of taking up the matter with the source, the “Lose to Win” singer decided to turn to Instagram to demand the magazine publicly apologize for going against her wishes. Posting a picture of the cover with the word “False” scrawled across it three times, Fantasia wrote:

“This saddens Me!!! It is clear that this picture is 10 Years Old and JET Magazine puts it on the Cover!! After I send them the NEW LOOK AND DIRECTION. . SAD!!! I WANT A PUBLIC APOLOGY FROM JET. Now im not sure if the interview is correct. SEE!! America they and use me as they crash Dummy BUT NO MORE. IF I DONT STAND FOR SOMETHING ILL FALL FOR ANYTHING.”

According to The Urban Daily, celebrities are typically given magazine cover approval, meaning JET went against common practice by using a photo that was a decade old. With The Side Effects of You, her first project since she gave birth to her son set to be released on March 13, Fantasia wanted to showcase her new look and attitude. However, Fantasia seems to be rolling with the punches, tweeting:

Do you think JET should apologize for using an old photo of Fantasia?
