Michelle Obama Portrait Unveiled By White House

Michelle Obama’s second official portrait as the First Lady has been unveiled by the White House.

Obama, who admitted last week that her bangs were the result of a mid-life crisis, proudly sports her new hairstyle in her second White House portrait.

The photo, which was released today on the White House’s official Flickr page, was taken by Chuck Kennedy in the Green Room of the White House.

Michelle’s new portrait is very similar to the photo she took in 2009 shortly after President Obama took office. Michelle wears a pearl necklace and a dark dress in both photos.

The biggest difference (besides Michelle’s new bangs) is that the 2009 photo featured a sleeveless dress that showcased Michelle’s toned arms. This year, the 49-year-old First Lady decided to cover up her guns (maybe in support of Obama’s anti-gun stance…) with a 3/4 sleeved dress.

Obama’s look may have changed a little bit over the last four years but she’s still pushing the same agenda as she was when she entered the White House: Fitness.

Michelle has been promoting healthy eating and exercise for the last four years and she’ll continue her work this year. Obama is scheduled to appear on Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America, and Dr. Oz this year to promote her Let’s Move campaign.

Here’s Michelle Obama’s new portrait.

Here’s her portrait from 2009.
