Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z To Headline Wireless Festival At London’s Olympic Park

Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z are expected to hit the stage in London this summer as headline acts at this year’s Wireless music festival. The pair will join a hefty list of popular artists set to perform at the event, held at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Billed as Britain’s top urban and pop music festival, this year’s event is scheduled to kick off on July 13. On Tuesday, concert promoter Live Nation announced the festival’s star-studded lineup which includes some of the top names in the current music scene.

According to The Telegraph, Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z will be joined at the festival by music sensations such as Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, John Legend, and Frank Ocean.

Performances by artists Kendrick Lamar, DJ Fresh/Live, Calvin Harris, Miguel, Rita Ora, and Emeli Sandé have also been announced.

According to The Guardian, the festival is expected to be the only European performance by Jay-Z this year. The show also marks Justin Timberlake’s only scheduled festival appearance on British turf. The duo recently collaborated on Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” and hit the stage together for a performance at the 2013 Grammy awards ceremony.

An article by The Hollywood Reporter writes that this is the first year the Wireless festival will be held at London’s Olympic Park. Live Nation made the decision to change venues following recent disputes over financial costs and noise restrictions.

Music fans hoping to catch Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, and the rest of the Wireless festival’s 2013 London lineup can grab tickets starting Friday.
