Hugh Grant’s Baby Boy Debuts On Twitter

Hugh Grant’s new baby boy came into the world in the usual way — and was announced by the Bridget Jones’ Diary star on Twitter, as is becoming the norm.

Hugh Grant’s baby boy is his second child, and Grant is dad to a little girl born to mom Tinglan Hong back in September of 2011. At the time, his relationship with Hong was described as “fleeting,” and an affair, and the new dad spoke of fatherhood in somewhat ambivalent terms, albeit clearly pleased at the prospect.

Before Grant’s baby boy arrived, Us explains, he explained his feelings on being a parent and his daughter’s birth:

“Though 33-year-old Hong’s first pregnancy wasn’t planned, ‘I like my daughter very much,’ Grant revealed in a March 2012 with The Guardian. ‘Has she changed my life? I’m not sure. Not yet. Not massively, no. But I’m absolutely thrilled to have had her — I really am. And I feel a better person.’ “

Amusingly, a month later, Hugh told chat-show host Ellen DeGeneres that the tot was growing on him, musing:

“Everyone was right all these years, saying, ‘Hugh, why don’t you have some children? It changes your life … Now that I have one, it is life changing. I recommend it. Get some!”

It seems Hugh Grant’s baby boy with Hong is evidence sometimes kids can ground a person (does this sound a bit like Nine Months to anyone else?), and the actor confirmed today on Twitter that the pair have welcomed their second child, no Maury appearance necessary:
