LeAnn Rimes Sues Dentist, Claims Bad Dental Work Left Her Unable To Perform

LeAnn Rimes is suing her dentist, claiming that his shoddy work led to physical pain and a “permanent cosmetic deficiency.”

The 30-year-old singer filed a malpractice lawsuit against Dr. Duane McKay on Thursday, claiming work the dentist did over the last three years has impacted her career. The lawsuit, obtained by omg!, says that Rimes sues the dentist for work he did to alleviate pain from TMJ and to improve the singer’s appearance.

In the lawsuit against her dentist, Rimes claims that she’s had to go through nine root canals, bone grafting, a temporary bridge, and even physical therapy to deal with the poor work. She also claims that she’s been unable to sing and is seeking retribution for past and future earnings lost as a result of the work.

The lawsuit comes on top of what has already been a distressing year for LeAnn Rimes. A feud with Brandi Glanville, the ex-wife of LeAnn’s husband Eddie Cibrian, had brought to light some unsavory aspects that Rimes would likely have preferred to keep private. With a supposed tell-all book on the way for Glanville, Rimes said she was feeling “fragile” and afraid for what could be published.

Though the situation sounded distressing, Rimes showed no signs of it on Thursday as she showed off another, much happier part of her life. Possibly inspired by First Lady Michelle Obama, Rimes debuted a new haircut that showed off her bangs. The singer had a wide smile as she posted a picture of the new ‘do.

To the singer’s Twitter followers, the news that LeAnn Rimes sues her dentist is likely not a surprise. The singer has often aired her dental problems on the site, the Daily Mail noted.
