Neil Patrick Harris Wants Celebrity Edition Of ‘Survivor’

Neil Patrick Harris can sing, act and dance, and he currently makes women fall to their feet on How I Met Your Mother every Monday night. What can’t he do? Neil Patrick Harris wants to find that out with a celebrity edition of Survivor.

Jeff Probst, the host of Survivor, which has endured a lengthy season run of 26-seasons, has said that there’s some interest in a celebrity version of Survivor. Besides Neil Patrick Harris, it’s reported that producers had to turn away actress Kate Hudson when she showed up to audition to be a contestant on the show.

However, we can probably see Neil Patrick Harris making good of his Survivor demands, as he proves to be fearless in throwing himself in numerous projects. Of Harris’ interest, Probst told PEOPLE:

“Mark Burnett and I really want to do a celebrity version. We were just talking about this at a Grammy party last week. Neil Patrick Harris was there, and he told me flat out he wants to play. I challenged him and said, ‘Do you really want to do it, or is this just a fun fantasy that will never happen?’ He said, ‘I want to do it.’ “

How would a celebrity edition even go down? Getting a group of celebrities together for weeks would take a lot of schedule clearing for all parties involved. Apparently, Probst has that all worked out and suggests that best way to handle a celebrity version of Survivor is to shoot for ten days.
