Jennifer Dempsey, 35, Accused Of Posing As Young Teen, Seducing Boys, Faking Cancer

A woman named Jennifer Dempsey of Phoenix is at the center of the latest strange “catfishing” tale on the internet, after allegedly seducing two young teen boys by claiming to herself by 15 — and police are trying to find out if the woman may have victimized any other teen boys.

Police say Jennifer Dempsey, 35, used Facebook to pose as a 15-year-old girl, but that’s not even the strangest twist to the tale. According to a local news source, Dempsey’s alleged abuse was uncovered when the boys’ mothers reported her, and the site explains:

“Jennifer Dempsey is suspected of seven counts of sexual conduct with a minor after meeting with and engaging in sexual acts with two boys aged 14 and 16, according to court documents … In both cases, the mothers of the teens contacted Phoenix police who thought their sons were having relationships with Dempsey, according to the documents.”

But it gets stranger. Police say the 35-year-old woman faked a pregnancy by the older boy, even going so far as to meet his parents to discuss the situation and its outcome.

And like a Billy Mays’ commercial, there’s more — when police dug into Dempsey and her reported deceptions, they discovered another bizarre apparent lie:

“According to police, Dempsey was interviewed after someone turned over some incriminating text messages, and she admitted to having sex with the 16-year-old boy, but not the 14-year-old … During all of this, detectives discovered that the chemotherapy port on her chest was fake … Dempsey had been telling her family that she had cancer for five years, and shaved her head, bought wigs, and taped the chemo port to her chest in an effort to prove it.”

Police have released a picture of Jennifer Dempsey used on Facebook in order to find out if any other underage boys have been victimized, and anyone with information is urged to call the Family Investigation Bureau at 602-534-2121.
