‘I Love Jenni’ To Return Despite Rivera’s Death In Plane Crash

The reality show I Love Jenni will be returning to air, but sadly without titular personality Jenni Rivera, the Latin singer who died tragically in a plane crash last year.

Fans of I Love Jenny learned the show was to return this week, less than two months after Rivera perished in the December, 2012 air disaster. And while her fan base mourns, her show will carry on and feature members of her family as well as other recurring personalities when it returns to air on April 24.

Yahoo reported I Love Jenni was to return, and The Wrap adds that many of Jenni Rivera’s loved ones will be back on the show as it returns to air:

“The season will feature the final footage of Rivera in the month prior to the “La Gran Senora” singer’s death, along with new episodes that will chronicle her family’s efforts to preserve Rivera’s legacy …In addition to Rivera, the series stars her children Chiquis, Jacqui, Michael, Jenicka and Johnny, as well as her sister Rosie.”

Fans of I Love Jenni can expect the show to return on April 24 at 9 PM, mun2, the network confirmed.

Rivera’s family starring on the show is a bittersweet development, as many held out hope after the singer’s crash that she may have survived.

When Jenni Rivera was reported missing in the accident, with one telling press:

“We still have hope that she’s alive … It’s a 95% chance that she’s dead, but we have that belief because we don’t have a body. They found clothes.”
