Congratulations are in order for Star Trek actor John Cho and his wife Kerri Higuchi who recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world.
According to US Weekly Magazine, the child is the second for the 40-year-old actor and his wife of seven years, who are also parents to a 4-year-old boy.
Prior to his son’s birth, Cho, who is also famous for starring in Harold & Kumar and American Pie films, told the media that the thought of being a father for the first time was overwhelming.
“I’m really excited – and scared.” He added, “They’re just going to give you the baby, and then you have to take it home. There aren’t any doctors around telling you what to do.”
Outside of his duties as a dad, Cho currently stars along side Jason Bateman on the big screen in Identity Thief and he reprises his role as Sulu in Star Trek Into Darkness, which is scheduled to hit theaters on May 17.
Cho recently told Access Hollywood of the J.J. Abrams flick:
“Without the character stuff, all those dangerous sequences kind of are meaningless. The thrill of it is saying, ‘I know those guys and it’s those guys in that situation,'”
