Nokia 6700 Classic Gets Facelift, Adds 18K Gold Design

Nokia today announced their newest handset the Nokia 6700 Classic 18K Golf Edition. The device, which features a stainless steel cover comes equipped with 18-carat golf plating, a full metal keypad and specialized animated wallpapers designed specifically for the special edition of the phone.

In terms of other specs, it’s identical to the standard 6700 classic handset with a 2.2 inch display with 320 x 240 pixels of resolutions, a 5MP camera and 3G HSPA compatibility. It also features 170MB built-in memory.

For $546 Nokia will also thrown in a special Gold Edition leather carrying case and strap, along with an 8GB microSDHC memory card.

The 6700 Gold Edition will be available in “early 2010” throughout Europe, although we suspect “grey market” versions will creep into the U.S. shortly after their released. [Electronista]
