JVC GZ-HD620 Debuts with 1080P Sensor, 120GB HDD, Plenty Of Goodness

The JVC Everio line continues to impress, releasing new options in the line that make them hard to ignore. Now the JVC GZ-HD620 has debuted and it’s got us excited with it’s full 1080p recording (1920 x 1080) with backside illuminated CMOS Sensor.

It also doesn’t hurt that the device carries with it a 120GB HDD and weighs a comfortable 270g while coming in as the smallest full HD camcorder currently available on the market.

JVC also throws in 30x optical zoom (not digital) and a microSDHC card slot just in case 120GB won’t cut it. The MicroSDHC card can add up to 11 hours of footage at the maximum bit rate (24Mbps) or 50 hours at 5Mbps.

The JVC GZ-HD620 starts shipping in Japan tomorrow for ¥100,000, which means it should eventually hit the U.S. around the $1,000 mark. [Engadget]
