Michelle Williams Panned For Super Bowl Performance, But Says She’s Be Up For More Destiny’s Child

Michelle Williams was maligned for her performance at the Super Bowl, but the singer says she still had a great time and would be up for more Destiny’s Child performance in the future.

Williams had a difficult few weeks leading up the the Super Bowl, ever since rumors of a Destiny’s Child reunion surfaced. Buzzfeed highlighted the blog Poor Michelle, which documents how Williams often “got the short end of the stick” in Destiny’s Child.

It didn’t get much better after the Super Bowl. Though Beyonce’s halftime show earned good reviews, Michelle Williams herself earned criticism. Gawker said viewers could see “the fear in Michelle’s eyes” and tweets mentioned how she was the weakest link in Destiny’s Child.

One of those people was Keyshia Cole. The singer tweeted for Beyonce to “f*ck that sh*t up.” But when it was up to Michelle Williams to perform, Cole was much more harsh. “Michell [sic] always f***N the groove up.”

Regardless, Williams said she still enjoyed the experience, and said she would be excited for more Destiny’s Child.

“Oh, the Super Bowl was beautiful,” Williams told Billboard of Destiny’s Child’s big reunion. “When three good girlfriends are together, you’re free and you don’t care who’s around; you’re just trying to catch up and be goofy. I had a blast. People at home watching… they don’t catch the moments where, like in the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ pose, I was smiling. We were all smiling. I was laughing with my girls. I don’t care what anybody else says. I don’t let it get me down. It was a beautiful thing.”
