Justin Bieber First Artist To Debut Five #1 Albums Before 19th Birthday

Justin Bieber has become the first artist in music history to debut five #1 albums before his 19th birthday. Bieber accomplished the milestone after his new album Believe Acoustic debuted at #1 on the Soundscan charts.

Bieber’s newest album sold 211,000 copies during its first week, reaching #1 on the iTunes chart in at least 63 countries.

The pop sensation also became only the 10th act in history to debut a #1 album four years in a row.

In a press release following the unbelievable achievement Steve Bartels , President COO, Island Def Jam Music Group proclaimed:

“With this week’s incredible success of Believe Acoustic, Justin continues to impress everyone with the magnitude of his artistry. His vision for Believe Acoustic was an organic extension of his growth as a musician on tour and in the studio, consummately devoted to his fans. The album reflects an artist who is not afraid to step outside of every stereotype, regardless of his age. Congratulations, Justin.”

Justin Bieber won’t turn 19 until March 1st, however he has joined an impressive list of consecutive year chart toppers that include Jay-Z (7 years), the Beatles (6 years), and Paul McCartney /Wings (5 years).

The new acoustic album only includes eight songs from Justin Bieber’s multi-platinum selling album and chart topper Believe. The album adds to previous tracks with the previously unreleased songs Yellow Raincoat, I Would, and Nothing Like Us. The latter was written solely by Bieber.
