Denver Shooting: Multiple Victims, Including Children


10:50 am UPDATE – The early morning Denver shooting took the lives of three people, including at least one child. CBS News is reporting that police officers do not appear to be engaged in an active search for the shooter. Upon entering the home shortly before 7 am on Wednesday morning, officers found three people dead and one injured.

Denver Police Chief Richard White stated that there were children involved in the Colorado shooting. Chief White also told local media that the names and ages of the victims will not be released until relatives have been notified.

Chief White had this to say about the Denver shooting:

“I would ask that we all keep those involved, those that are going to be faced with this horrible tragedy — in our thoughts.”

Denver, CO – A Denver shooting on Wednesday morning included the injury of multiple, including children. The incident happened before 8 am at an East 49th Avenue and Pearl Street residence. At least one child was seen carried away from the Colorado home into a waiting ambulance.

A tweet by the Denver Police Department noted there were multiple victims at the Colorado shooting, but relayed no further information. A “toddler-sized” basketball hoop and a tricycle were visible in the backyard of the home, ABC 7 News notes.

Homicide detectives have been called to the scene. Initial reports indicate there were at least three other people believed to be in the Colorado home that were not transported via emergency squad.
