North Korean Government Releases YouTube Video Showing American Cities Under Attack

North Korea still intends to conduct the country’s third nuclear test later this month despite intense pressure from the United States and the international community. Seemingly unconcerned about threats of new sanctions, Kim Jong-un and his Generals stunned most sane human beings by releasing a YouTube Video that shows New York City engulfed in flames after a missile attack.

The video was uploaded to YouTube on Saturday by North Korea’s official website, Uriminzokkiri, which is responsible for distributing news, information, and propaganda for all state run media. While YouTube users shook their heads in astonishment over the video, North Korean officials seem quite happy to do everything in their power to inspire fear at every opportunity.

The video portrays a sleeping astronaut on the Korean version of the space shuttle, contentedly dreaming after being launched into orbit. After catching the American intelligence services napping with their successful missile program, North Korea proudly boasted that the rocket could be used to carry an astronaut or to strike the United States with an atomic weapon.

As the video continues, “We Are The World” plays in the background, lulling the viewer into a false sense of peace and security while the space shuttle circles the globe. The sleeping astronaut passes high above a reunified Korea and the camera zooms in for closeup of millions of happy Koreans cheering for the great leader.

The flight continues joyfully until the shuttle approaches the United States. The rocket’s view-port is suddenly filled with the image of an American flag, which is pulled away to reveal New York City in flames. Missiles fly in every direction, skyscrapers burn and crumble, and the city is turned into a raging inferno of death and destruction. The scene ends with a blinding flash of light, obviously intended to indicate a nuclear blast.

Our North Korean tour of the planet winds down with stock footage of the successful launch of a ballistic missile, shot in glorious color and perfect focus. We are treated to a long range shot of the missile as its strains to escape the confines of gravity, and then the camera zooms in for a tight NASA style closeup of the rocket lifting off the launch pad. The video closes with a final shot of our hero astronaut, who sleeps peacefully, despite his dreams of nuclear Armageddon.

Certainly the visuals contained in this video convey an unmistakable threat, but the new leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, has none of the style and subtlety that has long been a proud tradition of Asian politics. Using written words like a 50 pound sledge hammer to pound the message to smithereens, the screen is covered with large Korean captions that are just dripping with hostility and malice. As America is happily obliterated in an orgy of rage and hatred, the viewer is left with little doubt that North Korea would be quite happy to see the United States annihilated.

“Somewhere in the United States, black clouds of smoke are billowing. It seems that the nest of wickedness is ablaze with the fire started by itself.

“Despite all kinds of attempts by imperialists to isolate and crush us… never will anyone be able to stop the people marching toward a final victory. His dream will surely come true.”

One hopes that this mind boggling video will not escape the vigilance of the State Department and the White House. Mr. Obama will now have to consider his priorities very carefully. While he is traveling around the United States giving lectures about gun ownership, North Korea is delivering a nuclear sized threat against the American people.
