Another Bridezilla’s List Of Demands Has Gone Viral, Includes Instructions Not To Look Directly At Her

A so-called “Bridezilla” has issued a list of demands for her wedding party and guests, and it’s gone viral for all the wrong reasons.

For those not familiar, “Bridezilla” is a portmanteau of the words “Bride” and “Godzilla,” and refers to a bride whose demands, behavior, and attitude are monstrous and overly aggressive. And of course, what with the internet, every time a Bridezilla draws the ire of someone connected to her, worldwide public shaming ensues.

Such is the case with an anonymous bride from an unidentified location somewhere in the world. Her wedding coordinator, using the handle Laika_cat on Reddit, posted to a “beggars can’t be choosers” subreddit a list of demands from the bride with whom she’s working. Within, the demands contained are extremely elaborate and rigid. She purportedly sent these demands to attendees and wedding party members alike, in a group email.

Here are some of Bridezilla’s demands, according to Yahoo News, with commentary from this writer –who is by no means a wedding or etiquette expert, but who does enjoy a good public shaming every now and then.

Please arrive 15-30 minutes early. (OK, reasonable enough. Probably doesn’t need to be specified in an email, but alright.)

Please DO NOT wear white, cream, or ivory. (Again, this is basic wedding guest etiquette, but probably doesn’t need to be specified.)

Please do not wear anything other than a basic bob or ponytail. (So brides are dictating guests’ hair styles now?)

DO NOT TALK TO THE BRIDE AT ALL. (Left here without comment because, let’s be honest, what kind of commentary is even needed here?)

Everyone will toast with Rémy. No acceptance. (Based on context, Rémy is most likely a reference to Rémy Martin fine cognac. Also, we think she means “no exceptions.”)

Lastly must come with gift $75 or more or you won’t be admitted. (What, is she going to have security posted at the door, checking receipts?)

Over on Reddit, haters were having a field day with the unknown woman’s demands.

“I’d love for all guests to all show up naked with ponytails. That would be beautiful,” one redditor wrote.

It would be comforting to believe that this type of Bridezilla behavior is rare, but as it turns out, it’s more common than one might think.

And, believe it or not, this isn’t even the worst example of such behavior that this writer has written about. That “honor” goes to an identified bride who demanded that friends and family pay for her $65,000 destination wedding. As reported by the Inquisitr, when they didn’t, she canceled the wedding, broke off her engagement, cut everyone off from social media — and disappeared to go hiking in South America for two months to clear her head.
