‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ Trailer Explains Why Everyone Is In The Mood To Fight [Video]


The latest trailer making the rounds for NetherRealms upcoming brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us explains why all of these superheroes keeping punching each other.

In addition to releasing a comic book series that gives players some insight into the Injustice storyline, a brand new trailer has arrived online. According to Joystiq, the clip gives those who aren’t into comic books a chance to learn what’s going down.

The story itself is a little convoluted, but that’s pretty much par for the course with most fighting games. Long story short: A nuclear strike on Metropolis kills Lois Lane and Superman is understandably upset. As the superhero seeks revenge, he butts heads with several members of the Justice League.

In addition to providing a bit of depth to the plot, the latest Injustice: Gods Among Us trailer features some new footage of the game in action. Included in this montage is a particularly brutal moment involving Catwoman and Batman. After sending the Caped Crusader sailing into the air, Catwoman uses her whip to deliver a painful blow to the poor guy’s neck.

According to IGN, the Injustice mini-games will be sprinkled through the story mode in an attempt to give players a bit of variety. Each chapter involves a particular character and his or her preset showdown with an assortment of opponents. Should you encounter a problem with one of the combatants, the AI will adjust itself accordingly.

The website also reports that players will be able to choose between two different sets of input types. In addition to accommodating those who are drawn to Mortal Kombat’s brand of brawling, gamers can opt to use a control scheme similar to the one found in Street Fighter IV.
