Rihanna On Chris Brown: ‘We Know What We Have’

Most who ask Rihanna about her relationship with Chris Brown, don’t receive that much of an explanation from the singer. However, not everyone is Rolling Stone magazine, either. Rihanna sat down to discuss her album, but the conversation turned to her relationship with Chris Brown. Surprisingly, Rihanna laid it all out there for Rolling Stone, even though she remains that it’s “None of our business” like her single with Brown, says.

Although this was probably before Chris was accused of getting into a physical altercation with singer Frank Ocean over a parking spot, Rihanna said of Brown, “He doesn’t have the luxury of f—ing up again.”

We’ll take her word for it even though Chris Browns’ current troubles with the law say otherwise. Hopefully Brown keeps his relationship with Rihanna separate from his seemingly hot tempered antics. Rihanna continued by explaining their dynamic and her perception of the media:

“I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”

Rihanna continues, treading lightly on talking about the physical abuse she endured at the hand of Brown in 2009:

“When you add up the pieces from the outside, it’s not the cutest puzzle in the world. You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about shit. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”

Do you think Rihanna should have opened up to Rolling Stone magazine?
