WWE ‘Raw’ Preview: Brock Lesnar And Ronda Rousey Return, Matches Booked For Finn Balor And Seth Rollins

WWE Monday Night Raw will air live from the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. With WWE’s second biggest pay-per-view, SummerSlam, just weeks away, the company is booking toward that event. Usually, the WWE doesn’t book matches prior to Raw, as they usually reveal the contests throughout the show. With SummerSlam right around the corner, the WWE has actually booked two matches for Monday’s Raw, and two popular superstars are making their return.

The Conqueror Returns

WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar will make his return on Raw. As it stands right now, Roman Reigns will challenge Lesnar for the championship at SummerSlam in a one-on-one match. The WWE has described their contest as set in stone, and as wrestling fans know, when a match is set in stone, that usually means that the contest will change.

As the Inquisitr recently reported, there is still a great possibility that Bobby Lashley will be put into the Lesnar and Reigns contest at SummerSlam, making it a three-way match. Lashley and Roman each hold a single victory over one another, and this could be the angle that puts “The Dominator” in the title picture. The WWE strongly hinted in their Raw preview that Roman Reigns will be waiting for “The Beast Incarnate” on Monday night, so expect the two superstars to have an altercation, and Bobby Lashley may become a part of it.

Finn Balor vs. Baron Corbin

The WWE reminds their fans every week that Finn Balor is small. They seem obsessed with matching him up with opponents much larger than him, like his recent matches with Braun Strowman, and he is currently in a program with the very large Baron Corbin. “The Constable” was defeated by Balor at Extreme Rules, and the two will square off once again on Raw.

Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre

At SummerSlam, Seth Rollins will challenge Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. During Ziggler’s and Rollins’ iron man match, Dolph’s associate, Drew McIntyre, interfered and helped Ziggler retain the title. On Raw, “The Kingslayer” will have his chance for revenge when he squares off with Drew in singles competition.

Raw Gets Rowdy

“Rowdy” Ronda Rousey has been in a storyline where she has been suspended from Raw. This storyline was in place most likely to help Ronda with her schedule, as the former UFC champion has been on a media tour promoting her upcoming film, Mile 22. “Rowdy” Ronda returns to Raw on Monday, and the WWE superstar will likely have her eyes set on her SummerSlam opponent, women’s champion Alexa Bliss. Rousey and Bliss will face each other at the pay-per-view for the championship, so expect that program to intensify on Monday night.

WWE Monday Night Raw airs live on the USA Network on July 30, at 8 p.m. EST
