‘The Walking Dead’ Season 3B Trailer: ‘We’re Going To War’ [Video]

With the second half of season 3 a little more than two weeks away, AMC has dropped a new trailer for The Walking Dead‘s winter premiere. The hit zombie drama, which drew 10.5 million viewers for its midseason finale in December, will finally be returning on February 10.

As we have previously reported, in the second half of season 3, we’ll see what happens when Merle and Daryl Dixon are pitted against each other in the fighting ring. We’ll also see a showdown between Rick and the Governor, which should be nothing less than epic. But considering everything that Rick has been through — losing his wife, hallucinating Shane walking through fog, talking to dead people on a prison phone — does he have what it takes to survive his most formidable matchup to date? His ragtag group of survivors — including his son — don’t seem to think he’s up to the task. But we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Walking Dead has proven to be a ratings giant for AMC. Compared to last season’s midseason finale, “Pretty Much Dead Already,” the audience for “Made to Suffer” increased by 58 percent. It drew 6.9 million adults 18-49 and 6.0 million adults 25-54. The third season premiere, “Seed,” ranked as the most-watched drama telecast in the history of basic cable. “Seed” also set a benchmark with 7.3 million adults 18-49 and 6.1 million 25-54. To put that in perspective, the only telecast that ranked higher in those demographics was Sunday Night Football.
