No such moral high ground exists in the promotion of show no one’s ever heard of on Bravo, Chef Academy. Well, no one had heard of it until two fellow participants Googled contestant Emmanuel DelCour on camera (first video) and discovered his not-so-hidden past as porn star Jean Val Jean. (Going to Bravo’s Chef Academy page, in fact, brings you right to a video titled Porn Confrontation!, wherein the prospective chefs toast a “possible gang bang,” and the housewife character looks scandalized and DelCour/Val Jean wears a “no comment” shirt. Coy!)
Given the disclosure via the show by Bravo and heavy promotion of the porniness of Emmanuel DelCour/Jean Val Jean, obviously this dude won’t get the boot for a checkered past. Even if he is “the premier straight porn practitioner” of a certain taboo act Oprah got called out for mentioning on her show.
