Samantha Steele And Christian Ponder Planning Second Wedding In April

Samantha Steele and Christian Ponder have announced they’ll be getting married all over again in April.

The couple, who originally got hitched on December 17 in a private civil ceremony before a judge in Hudson, are planning a second wedding before friends and family.

Samantha Steele, ESPN‘s 24-year-old sideline reporter, will marry Vikings quarterback Ponder a second time in her hometown of Phoenix.

The loved-up pair revealed their second wedding plans during a Sports Illustrated podcast and took the oportunity to reminisce and josh about Ponder’s proposal method.

Recounting how he crafted his proposal from Christmas lights on his deck, 27-year-old Ponder joked:

“I used Christmas lights and I didn’t even use a question mark. It was a statement. She had no options.”

Steele added:

“I still don’t know if I technically accepted a proposal, because I don’t remember any question ever.”

Steele and Ponder’s wedding appears to be for the benefit of their family and friends; Steele was keen to point out she’s not currently pregnant.

Previously, Ponder has had to reassure fans that his relationship with Steele wasn’t a distraction from his duties as Vikings quarterback.
