Michelle Obama Eye Roll Caught On Camera [Video]
Michelle Obama can give a pretty impressive eye roll.
The first lady was sitting next to John Boehner during the inaugural lunch today and she didn’t appreciate what the Speaker was saying. It’s unclear what Boehner said to the First Lady and President Obama but it is pretty clear that Michelle was a little annoyed with the Speaker of the House.
A video of Michelle’s eye roll landed online earlier today. The video shows Michelle leaning forward over her plate of food while the President leans back to talk to Boehner. The Speaker taps Michelle on the arm, as if to say “hey listen to this,” but Michelle just keeps chewing.
Boehner keeps talking and eventually Michelle launches an epic political eye roll.
Now, the conversation isn’t known at the time but Dictionary.com has an idea of what Michelle was saying with her eye roll.
The site defines an eye roll, writing: “To move your eyes upwards as a way of showing that you are annoyed or bored after someone has done or said something.”
But Michelle’s relationship with Boehner may not be all bad. Obama said during a speech at the luncheon that the First Lady and the Speaker of the House came to an agreement about the inaugural proceedings earlier in the day.
“Michelle and the speaker of the House came to a meeting of the minds that I may be delaying the proceedings too much. And so I’m just going to be extraordinarily brief and say thank you.”
