Most Depressing Day Of The Year Happens To Be Obama’s Inauguration

COMMENTARY | The most depressing day of the year happens to be the same day of Obama’s inauguration. Some conservatives think this a delicious irony that probably deserves a meme.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Obama’s inauguration day, or January 21, also happens to be Blue Monday 2013. Blue Monday was created by UK psychologist Cliff Arnall back in 2005 as a questionably “scientific” formula. Arnall looked at various issues that can cause depressing and found that the most depressing day of the year falls on the third Monday of January.

For many liberals and Democrats who voted for President Obama, January 21 is probably a day of celebration. But for conservatives, Obama’s inauguration serves as reminder that today is also the most depressing day of the year.

Some conservatives are depressed by the high amount of spending that the government will be doing as part of Obama’s inauguration that spans a three-day party. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, conservatives do not like how Obama is spending more than $170 million in a ceremony that typically is cheaper the second time around, not more expensive.

Some conservatives on Facebook are even calling for Obama’s inauguration to be commemorated for being the most depressing day of the year by wearing black. I haven’t see anyone wearing black or pulling such a stunt. Mostly it’s been grumbling over the internet.

The one set of conservatives you might expect to turn this into a joke or a meme is those on Fox and Friends. Well, they were quite on task and instead referred to the “drab weather, holiday bills, and resolutions that we have not met.” Maybe Fox News is not as biased as we’d all like to think?
