Justin Bieber’s Mom Produces Anti-Abortion Film

Justin Bieber’s mom, Patti Mallete, is the executive producer behind an anti-abortion film coming out soon.

Mallete has spoken publicly about having Justin when she was 17 years old. She has made it public knowledge that drug abuse, sexual abuse and depression were all factors that led her to be pregnant at such a young age.

Last year Mallete published a memoir about her experiences titled Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom. In the novel she tells how a lot of people told her to get an abortion. However, she had converted to Christianity by that point and thought the right thing to do would be to keep her child.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Mallete and the film’s other producers hope to raise $10 million to give to pregnancy centers.

Mallete also tells the Associated Press she hopes the film will:

“…encourage young women all over the world, just like me, to let them know that there is a place to go, people who will take care of you and a safe home to live in if you are pregnant and think you have nowhere else to turn.”

No plot details have for the film have been released other than the title, Crescendo. The short will play at festivals worldwide with Mallete at appearing at some showing. Its festival run will begin February 28 with an undisclosed end time.

The Bieber family has been in the news a lot recently. Scandalous pictures of Justin Bieber allegedly smoking marijuana surfaced causing an online controversy.

What do you think? Is Justin Bieber’s mom doing the right thing?
