Utah Juice Bar Charges Liberals $1 More Per Drink

Vernal, UT – I Love Drilling Juice & Smoothie Bar owner George Burnett charges liberals $1 more per drink and then donates the extra cash to conservative causes. The successful business has reportedly earned rave reviews from customers just a few weeks after its opening.

The Utah businessman combined his love of health food and his belief in domestic energy when he came up with the idea for his new restaurant. He is reportedly very open about the fact that he charges liberals more than conservatives. The $1 surcharge has allegedly not caused a problem with his few liberal customers.

George Burnett moved to the area five years ago and opened a custom seat cover business. In an attempt to get connected with his new neighbors and boost the spirits of the town that was falling into an oil and gas bust, he hung a sign which read, “Honk If You [Heart] Drilling.”

The I Love Drilling Juice & Smoothie Bar owner had this to say about his unusual pricing habits:

“We have a fiscal problem in this country. We’ve got to deal with it or we don’t have a country, so to kind of help make that point, just a little bit, I charge liberals just a little bit more. Really what I’m focused on is the fiscal differences between big government/small government and liberal ways, as far as entitlements and spending.”

Burnett’s goal is reportedly not to offend anyone who identifies themselves as a liberal. George noted he simply wants to provide a healthy product and start conversations about the fiscal problems and the over-regulation of the energy industry.

The enigmatic Utah businessman is now largely regarded as a local celebrity for his willingness to wear his thoughts on his sleeve, so to speak. Burnett is also known as a dedicated supporter of the Uintah Basin’s energy industry, KSL News reports.

I Love Drilling Juice & Smoothie Bar customer and personal trainer Corey Peterson had this to say about the new business:

“I love this place. I will support this place with every fiber of my being.”
