Meghan Markle is said to think the world of her dad and now the world is hearing all about him and seeing him in photos as he goes about his rather quiet life. The future bride of Prince Harry has a dad who is living an unassuming life in Mexico, but that looks as if it’s changing.
Privacy has fallen by the wayside for Thomas Markle, which was seen in a recent solo trip to grab a takeout dinner. Every move Meghan’s father made was documented in photos along with details spelled out on each and every step he took. From the free glass of wine offered to Mr. Markle while waiting for his takeout food to the puff on his cigarette that he enjoyed with that wine — it is all noted and photographed.
If you ever wondered just what the father of a future royal bride picks up at a convenience store, wonder no more. Mr. Markle’s purchases for the evening were photographed for all to see as they sat on the checkout counter in front of him.
It seems Meghan’s father picked up two portions of spaghetti Bolognese with a side of meatballs at an Italian restaurant. From there, he stopped at a drug store or convenience store to pick up cigarettes, bottled water, and beer, according to the Daily Mail. What kind of beer does the father of the future royal family member drink? Well, while he wasn’t seen consuming the beer, he did appear to buy Heineken, which was sitting on the check-out counter among his other purchases at this store.

Before going inside the restaurant to pick up his takeout order, Mr. Markle was seen puffing on a cigarette outside in his vehicle. At one point, a policeman walked up to him and asked him for a light. According to the Daily Mail, Meghan’s father seemed more than happy to oblige the lawman’s request.
As Tom Markle’s once very quiet life is now infiltrated with cameras, Meghan Markle is on the other side of the pond learning the ins and outs of becoming a bonified member of the Royal Family. Meghan’s father is experiencing much the same thing that Kate Middleton’s parents went through before her wedding to Prince William as far as becoming overnight celebrities, but the media was often brutal to them.
As seen in one of the many articles posted back in 2010 ahead of William and Kate’s wedding, the Daily Mail reported on how the Middleton’s were accused of cashing in on their daughter’s wedding. They own a very lucrative party supply website and they were accused of selling items that people saw as affiliated to the up and coming Royal Wedding.
The same thing occurred when Kate was pregnant with their first child, Prince George. The Middletons were accused of “cashing in” on the Royal baby, as reported in an archived article from RadarOnline.
The Middletons were suddenly thrust into the spotlight back when Kate’s engagement was announced. Their party supply website had been selling the same products all along. Their website had many of the products offered long before Kate agreed to marry the future king, but that is not how some in the media presented it.
Kate’s parents are seen in a much better light today in the media. They are painted as a couple who love being the babysitting grandparents of a prince and princess. Now it appears that it is Meghan Markle’s family’s turn, starting with her father’s purchases seen in the media today.
