‘Beautiful Existence’ Will Eat Only At Starbucks For The Entire Year

Seattle, WA — How’s this for a New Year’s resolution?

Taking her cue from Jared the Subway guy and Morgan Spurlock of Super Size Me, a Seattle woman claims she will take all her meals at Starbucks for an entire year.

On her blog that will chronicle the 2013 Starbucks food and drink fest that is thus far costing her about $19 a day, she asks rhetorically why aren’t women “challenging themselves in the world… where are the effects being shown on a woman’s culture?”

The woman’s legal name is Beautiful Existence. In prior year-long challenges, she shopped only at Goodwill and followed the advice published in Parents Magazine.

Beautiful Existence tells MYNorthwest.com that the Starbucks challenge is going to be a piece of cake as it were:

” ‘We’re really lucky and I would say actually spoiled as Americans because we have all these different eating options.’

” ‘You go to all these other countries and they don’t have these luxuries. Really? Is it really going to be that hard for one year of my life to limit my menu? We’ll find out.’ “

She also doesn’t mind spending a lot of money at Starbucks in part because the company pays good benefits to its part-time workers.

Since Starbucks now owns Evolution Fresh and Tazo Tea, Beautiful Existence will gain the benefit of some additional culinary options during her 2013 self-imposed challenge. She is keeping a close eye on the calorie count, however.

Do you think you could survive for a year eating and drinking nothing but Starbucks products? Would you consider that a “beautiful existence”?
