Skeet Ulrich Charged With Contempt For Not Paying Child Support

Skeet Ulrich was charged with contempt of court Tuesday morning for not paying child support.

According to RadarOnline, Ulrich owes his ex-wife, Georgina Cates, $284,861.84 in child support payments. The couple divorced in 2005 and share custody of their twins, Jakob Dylan and Naiia Rose, who were born in 2001.

A hearing has been set for February 22.

A source told Radar, “This would not have happened if his not paying had just started, but it has been going on for year.”

Ulrich, who played Billy Loomis in the first Scream film, starred as Det. Rex Winters in the one and only season of Law & Order: LA. The spinoff of the successful franchise had been picked up for a full season on October 18, 2010, but exactly three months later, NBC announced that it was putting the series on hold indefinitely. The series returned on April 11, and the final episode was scheduled to air July 11. The series was canceled on May 13.

The original Law & Order ended its 20-year run the previous summer, with its final episode airing on May 24, 2010. Currently, the only spinoff of the franchise still on the air is Law & Order: SVU. Ulrich appeared in a crossover of LA and SVU in the season twelve episode “Behave.”

Ulrich’s ex-wife, Georgina Cates, is an English actress. She appeared in an episode of TNT’s The Closer in 2009 and appeared in the 1998 film Clay Pigeons with Vince Vaughn and Joaquin Phoenix. Ulrich was her second husband, and the two cited irreconcilable differences when they filed for divorce.
