James Franco Lip-Syncs Justin Bieber Single ‘Boyfriend’ [Video]

Actor James Franco and pop star Justin Bieber apparently have similar musical tastes.

Franco made a video of himself lip-syncing to Justin Bieber’s hit single “Boyfriend.” And he had the matching wardrobe. Rumored girlfriend Ashley Benson, his Spring Breakers co-star, is also the co-star of this video production.

Franco must have had misgivings about his Bieber sendup later because he deleted the video from his WhoSay account, but by then it had already reached YouTube.

The Daily Caller wasn’t overly impressed with the James Franco rendition of “Boyfriend:”

“Apparently in his spare time, Franco likes to dress up as Justin Bieber and film himself lip-syncing to the pop star’s song [“Boyfriend]. It is by far the weirdest thing you will see all day.”

Salon provides this summary of the James Franco lip-sync effort:

“Franco does his best/worst Bieber impression, sporting a sweat suit, flat-billed, sideways cocked hat, and Bieber’s trademark bangs as Benson writhes around in a dimly lit room.”

At the time the Bieber single was released last March, as The Inquisitr reported at the time, the Biebs was said to be channeling Justin Timberlake as the Canadian star raps, sings in falsetto, and whispers sweet nothings into the microphone. He was also supposedly going for a more mature sound.

Do you think the James Franco lip-sync version was supposed to be a parody of the original?
