Pocket Radar Displays Speeds Up To One Mile Away

The Pocket Radar may be a very tiny version of a radar gun, but it’s also just as effective, taking speed measurements from up to one mile away. It’s also effective enough to measure the speed of a fast ball just as closely as the speed of a race car.

The radar is powered using AAA batteries while taking 10,000 readings before new batteries are needed to keep the device operating. The manufacturer also claims the devices speed measurements are accurate within one mile per hour.

The Pocket Radar is set to officially launch at CES 2010 in January and since I’ll be in attendance I should be able to get a closer look at the device.
