Incestuous Meth Heads Arrested For Exposing Infant To Smoke, Being Awful

Everett, WA – A Lake Stevens couple has been arrested for exposing an infant to meth smoke and all-in-all being terrible people.

HeraldNet reports that the unnamed couple are being brought up on felony child endangerment charges who smoked the drug crystal meth in a car with an 11-month-old baby present. The girl’s 22-year-old mother and 35-year-old boyfriend (who is also her half-brother) were charged Thursday with one count each of child endangerment with a controlled substance.

“Investigation is ongoing to determine the extent to which all three children have been exposed to methamphetamine in the past,” deputy prosecutor Andrew Alsdorf said in Snohomish County Superior Court papers.

Police were called to the scene by a concerned bystander who saw the couple smoking meth in a Ford Explorer together. One of the bystanders standing with the caller advised the police to show up quickly, because they saw a child in the car and were afraid that they would intervene violently to stop the meth heads.

The woman confessed to being addicted to meth, “and readily acknowledged that she is an unfit mother because of her current drug addiction,” court papers said. The man said that he had smoked meth regularly for 20 years.

“He said it was wrong to endanger the children and there was no excuse for it,” the prosecutor wrote. “He explained that his childhood was a troubled one and that his father introduced him to methamphetamine at approximately 14 years old.”

“In the parlance of elementary school, this,” joked Geekosystem of the confession, “is known as ‘partial credit.’ At best.”
