Kanye West To Rival JAY-Z’s ‘TIDAL’ With His Own Streaming Service, Ongoing Feud Intensifies

Looks like the controversial beef between JAY-Z and Kanye West is still far from being over. The two rappers, who have been feuding for quite a while now, might soon become rivals in business, according to reports.

In an exclusive report by The Blast, it has been revealed that the “Famous” rapper is planning to set up his very own streaming service that could rival JAY-Z’s TIDAL. According to the webloid, Kanye has started to do all the necessary steps to officially start his rumored new venture.

The 40-year-old rapper seems to be keen on pushing for his own streaming service, which will be called “Yeezy Sound.” The gossip site also noted that last week, Kanye and his team have already filed documents to legally secure a trademark for the said enterprise.

In the documents obtained by the webloid, it has been revealed that Kanye’s Yeezy Sound will provide entertainment services, including “streaming of music, audio, images, video, and other multimedia content over the internet.”

It remains unclear whether Kanye’s streaming service would be a solo-venture intended to market his own music alone or if he would feature other artists as well just like TIDAL.

With Kanye’s move to rival JAY-Z in the entertainment streaming industry, many are convinced that the feud between them will only intensify.

Kanye West’s trademark application for Yeezy Sound comes after his controversial money dispute with JAY-Z and TIDAL. It can be recalled that Kim Kardashian’s husband suddenly ditched the streaming service for allegedly breaching their contract.

The rapper also alleged that TIDAL owed him a whopping $3.5 million in unpaid advances and bonuses for his Life of Pablo album. Apparently, Kanye claimed that JAY-Z and his company has not paid him properly after his album brought in an additional one and a half million new subscribers.

Aside from Kanye West and JAY-Z’s money dispute, the two rappers also have a more personal feud. In August, the 4:44 hitmaker admitted that things are not going well between him and Kanye.

In an hour-long interview with Rap Radar, JAY-Z revealed that their beef started when Kanye targeted his wife, Beyonce, in a series of onstage rants during one of his concerts.

JAY-Z reiterated that when Kanye brought his family into their issues, it became a real problem with him.

“You can’t bring my kids and my wife into it.”

In his rant, Kanye dissed Beyonce for allegedly not showing any concern after Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery. The rapper also targeted JAY-Z’s eldest child, Blue Ivy, claiming that the couple has yet to bring their daughter to his house to play with her daughter North.
