WWE News: Kurt Angle Competes In Match At WWE’s Live Event In England

WWE star Kurt Angle participated in his second match in the past several weeks during WWE’s recent tour of England. The current WWE Raw General Manager looks like he’s continuing to stay in wrestling shape ahead of the huge Survivor Series battle that’s on the way between Team Raw and Team SmackDown in less than two weeks. Here’s the latest on what match Kurt Angle was part of during the latest live show in England.

While Tuesday brought the latest SmackDown Live episode to the United Kingdom, Raw was holding a separate event. According to NoDQ, Kurt Angle was part of a live event in Birmingham, England featuring the WWE Raw superstars. Angle, who was wearing a Shield t-shirt, would once again team up with two-thirds of The Shield joining Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. In their latest match, they took on familiar opponents in Sheamus and Cesaro, as well as Angle’s former rival from TNA, Samoa Joe.

At one point in the match, Angle was able to grab a charging Samoa Joe and hit a huge suplex on him. Later on, Angle teamed up with Rollins and Ambrose for the finish. Just like they did to The Miz at the TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2017 PPV, they hoisted Cesaro up for a Triple Powerbomb. Once the move was done, Angle covered Cesaro for the pinfall victory. The fans in attendance seemed to eat up the big win, as seen in a video a fan shared on Twitter.

The big victory for Angle, Rollins, and Ambrose comes just one night after the Shield brothers lost their tag team titles. On last night’s episode of Raw, also in England, Sheamus and Cesaro defeated Rollins and Ambrose to become three-time WWE tag team champions. If they remain the tag team title holders up until Survivor Series, it means Sheamus and Cesaro will take on The Usos in a “Champions vs. Champions” match that previously was booked to feature Rollins and Ambrose.

Kurt Angle is also scheduled to compete again at the upcoming WWE Survivor Series 2017 pay-per-view. He’ll be the leader of Team Raw in a traditional five-on-five elimination match against Team SmackDown headed by the brand’s Commissioner Shane McMahon. Based on his showing at the TLC pay-per-view and tonight’s live event in England, Angle seems like he has plenty of momentum to lead Raw towards a victory.
