Brad Pitt Makes Rare Public Appearance As Rumors Persist He Is Ready To Move On From Angelina Jolie
Ever since his shocking split from Angelina Jolie in September of 2016, Brad Pitt has laid low and avoided the paparazzi and most public appearances. But over the weekend, he emerged from his year of heartbreak and looked better than ever while attending the 2017 LACMA Art + Film Gala. Is the 53-year-old movie star ready to move on and find love again?
Modeling a crisp, black Gucci suit and white shirt, the actor presented the event held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. According to the Daily Mail, the movie star even posed for pictures, including one with artist Thomas Houseago and his wife, Muna El Fituri.
Pitt seemed to enjoy himself at the gala and did so without a drink. He told GQ this past summer that he has finally given up alcohol after years of using it as a way to avoid feelings.
“But me, personally, I can’t remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn’t boozing or had a spliff, or something. That a lot of it is, um – cigarettes, you know, pacifiers. And I’m running from feelings. I’m really, really happy to be done with all of that,” said Brad Pitt.
The Fight Club star revealed that he gave up everything except “boozing” when he started his family with Jolie, but he said that eventually became a problem. He added he finally gave up alcohol after his ex filed for divorce, and it has been bittersweet, but he is happy and finally has feeling in his fingertips again.
Pitt and Jolie were together for 11 years and married for two before Jolie filed for divorce last year. The couple has six children together, three who were adopted and three they conceived on their own.
The actor has focused on work and healing over the past year, but reports have finally surfaced that he is ready to move on and date again. However, according to Extra, the rumors that he had something going on with actress Ella Purnell are false. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t see Pitt with a new love at some point soon.
Meanwhile, Jolie has been making the rounds on the film festival circuit in the past few weeks and is appearing on numerous red carpets. The Daily Star reports that her most recent appearance at the 21st annual Hollywood Film Awards was a jaw-dropping one.
The Maleficent star looked stunning in a silk robe-style gown, dark curly hair and red lipstick. The 42-year-old accepted the award for Best Foreign Language Film for First They Killed My Father, a movie she wrote, produced, and directed.
