Aidy Bryant As Sarah Huckabee Sanders Sings ‘Confident’ On ‘Saturday Night Live’ [Video]

A Saturday Night Live video titled “Press Conference – SNL” has swelled to enjoy more than 180,000 views on YouTube, as Aidy Bryant gives her version of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. As seen in the below video, Sanders relies on confidence, along with her version of Demi Lovato’s “Confident” song to interpret how she is feeling when facing reporters in the press room. With more than 5,000 thumbs-up ratings, the Saturday Night Live version of Sanders is being called comedy gold.

The sketch shows how Sarah uses a little confidence to take her a long way when it comes to going up against journalists who challenge Sarah as Huckabee Sanders claims that recent indictments have nothing to do with the White House. Reporters on SNL questioned Sanders about Russia collusion, but Sarah used nonsensical words to duck their questions.

A photo of Mike Huckabee, Sarah’s dad, was turned over as Sarah writhed and danced, grinding atop a desk. “The Huck” nickname was displayed in the video, giving Sarah a new moniker. When Sanders was asked about the Civil War compromise comment John Kelley recently made, Sarah gave a rambling answer about history and time. Next, Sarah called on “Bruce” but was told, “There’s no Bruce here.” Sanders refused to condemn Kelley’s words as offensive in the comedy sketch.

Meanwhile, the Demi Lovato type of Sanders alter ego sang about being a puppet. The SNL sketch began with Sanders joking with the journalists wearing costumes that made them look like reporters for Halloween, before she launched into a six-minute riddle about taxes. The story contained wording about the eighth man at an eatery being a Polish man, called “dumb as a box of rocks” in the sketch that used a racial slur. In the end, Sanders ended with a photo of McNuggets and claimed her long, rambling story explained tax reform.

On YouTube, certain commentators are praising Aidy’s impression of Sanders, even as they write that “the Huck will never live up to the Spice.” Others are writing that they didn’t recognize Aidy due to all the makeup designed to make her appear as close to Sanders as possible.
