‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Star Kyle Richards Reveals She Was Sexually Harassed As A Young Actress

Kyle Richards is speaking out on an upsetting incident she experienced when she was a young actress. Richards, who started out as a child star before becoming a fan favorite Housewife on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, recently recalled an incident in which she was harassed by a male producer during an interview. Bravo posted an audio clip of Kyle speaking about the encounter on the Radio Andy show Jeff Lewis Live.

“I had one incident,” Richards told Lewis.

“I met a producer at the Beverly Hills Hotel, at the Polo Lounge, and we were talking and I could tell that I am not here for the role that he’s talking about. He was saying very perverted things and I left.”

Kyle Richards did not reveal the name of the producer, but she admitted that she did not know how to handle the harassment at the time.

“I felt uncomfortable and I didn’t know what to do,” Richards said.

“If someone said that to me now, I would be like, ‘You’re disgusting’ and I would destroy them. But I was young and stupid.”

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans know Kyle Richards as one of the strongest women on the Bravo reality show. Kyle is no-nonsense and smart, so it is hard to hear that she was once put in such an uncomfortable situation as a young actress. Kyle Richards’ comments come as Hollywood experiences a surge in sexual harassment and assault allegations toward big-name producers and stars.

Like her older sister, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards started her career as a child star in the early 1970s. Kyle’s first IMDB acting credit is listed in 1974 on the TV drama Police Woman. Kyle was only 5-years-old at the time. Kyle went on to appear in the original Halloween movie a few years later. As a teen, Kyle Richards was a regular on Little House on the Prairie and the series Down to Earth. Kyle later played Nurse Dori Kerns on the long-running medical drama ER. Richards’ most recent acting credit was in 2015 on the series The Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce.

In addition to her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards is now a producer on the upcoming semi-biographical series American Woman, which will star Alicia Silverstone and is set to premiere on the Paramount Network in 2018. In addition, the real-life experiences of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star have inspired a second series, an upcoming ABC drama titled Glass Houses, according to Deadline.
